Dr. Vinita Sinha is an Associate Professor of English at Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi. She has a teaching experience of over three decades. Her areas of interest include Translation Studies and Oral Traditions. She has recently completed a Major Research Project on A Study of Subversive Voices in the Oral Traditions of Bihar with a special focus on Madhubani – the renowned art district in the northern regions of the State. She is the co ordinator of the Translation and Translation Studies Centre of IP College and the Advisor to the students journal CODE , an annual feature of the Centre. Currently, she is working on an International collaborative effort with the French novelist, Martine Le Coz on Intercultural Interpretation of Folk Tales. Her forthcoming publications include english translation of poems by Anamika, English translation of Short stories and Reportage by Phanishwarnath Renu. She has published and presented her research on the Madhubani artists both at the national and international levels.
